In mid-July of this year, Barney’s New York flagship on Madison Avenue unveiled its new designer shoe floor. The floor houses shoes for both men and women and spans over a whopping 22,000 square feet, encompassing the entire fifth floor.
The space was designed in collaboration with the architecture firm Yabu Pushelberg and under direction of Barney’s Creative Director, Dennis Freedman. White Italian marble walls, tables made of glass and ebony mascassar wood, natural lighting, and not to mention iPad stations to browse Barneys.com, all in all making for a much more pleasant shopping experience. I’m sorry, but this just isn’t the shoe section at your local department store!!!
Within the men’s department, classic and fashion shoes will no longer be on separate floors and now will be both housed in the new fifth floor space.
So during your next visit to NYC be sure to stop by!
Here are some of the men’s brands that will be carried at Barney’s: Sergio Rossi, Alberto Moretti-Arfango, Battistoni, Endless, Harris, Officine Creative, Franceschetti, and Bettanin & Venturi.
Men’s brands with exclusive styles include: Christian Louboutin, Balenciaga, Prada, Balmain, Ferragamo, Givenchy, Lanvin, Tod’s, Church’s, and John Lobb.
Where is your favorite shoe store/shoe section? Leave the comment below, I can’t wait to hear from you guys.…..
Hope you enjoyed,
Thanks Donnell
