Only 1 more day of New York Fashion Week, it’s amazing how the week flies by! Yesterday was the first day it has truly felt like fall in NYC (I wore a leather skirt, whoop whoop!)…and let me tell ya it was fantastic! I enjoyed lunch outside (without sweating!) with my interior & wardrobe stylist friend, Tiffani, then dinner with my Trend Forecasting friend, Jamie, also outside! Both meals were filled with laughter, fashion talk and fabulous weather! Now on to the shows…
Brandon Sun may not be a household name, but the designer has definitely worked closely with 2 well-known designers, Giles Mendel of J.Mendel AND Oscar de la Renta. Needless to say his womenswear designs and fur pieces are sophisticated and well executed.

Last season I fell in love with the menswear line, Ankar Sweden. Design Director Niklas Ankar creates clothing perfect for any Southern Homme. His SS13 Collection was inspired by ‘Havana resorts, elegant artists in San Tropez, Vespa-driving Italians on Capri’.
I love the way he’s styled this simple bandana.
Mix & match prints with a bold print blazer and pocket square.
Loving these printed canvas slip on sneakers!

The Nicholas K show happened before I made it to NYC but I couldn’t turn down their sweet invitation, so my lovely friend & fellow fashionista Tiffani of Style by Tiffani attended for me. The SS13 collection was full of their usual neutral color palette, with great draping and layering. I personally love the menswear, very cool.
Watch the finale Tiffani captured…

I first discovered Candela at fashion week a few years ago when she presented at The Jane. Now the Uruguayan designer Gabriela Perezutti have taken on the famed Lincoln Center. The NYC based designer is both inspired by her current concrete jungle city, as well as her gaucho roots. Southern Femmes can find her line at shopbop.com, Saks.com, and anthropologie.com.

I didn’t know what to expect when I was invited to the Falguni & Shane Peacock show at Lincoln Center. But wow, I was pleasantly surprised by their futuristic collection! It’s very Rihanna meets Lady Gaga, aka super cool and daring. And in fact Lady Gaga has worn F&S Peacock, as well as Katie Perry, Madonna, Nicki Minaj, Kelly Osbourne, Jennifer Lopez, Nicole Richie, Kim Kardashian, Christina Ricci, and Kristen Stewart.
Their show began with 3 models dressed in sexy space suits walking along an illuminated runway with spaceship noises vibrating the room.…
Happy Fashion Week! Stay tuned for 1 more day live from NYFW!
Yours in Style,
Megan
