A new designer is on the rise, and she has the Southern Femme team swooning.   A California native and a petite beauty, you’d never guess that she was a champion boxer.  With her minimalist and timeless silhouettes, Nellie Partow is proving that she– and her designs– are here to stay. Since launching her line in 2008, Nellie has quickly proven herself to the fashion world.

Her collection consists of beautiful silks, wools, and linens imported from Italy, and a lot of work and process goes into each textile.  All of her garments are designed and manufactured in New York City, including her knits, which are completed by hand, and may very well be considered works of art.

The fall collection features beautiful shearlings, rich leathers, and delicate silks in shapes flattering for any body type.   From a luxurious fur gilet, to classic silk dresses and leather pants– there’s something for everyone in her line.

While Nellie’s silhouettes may be minimal, they have a certain edge that truly makes them special, and we’re not the only ones who have taken notice.  Saks Fifth Avenue recently picked up the rising line, placing her next to labels such as Stella McCartney and The Row.  We’re definitely predicting to see her in more department stores in the near future.
