When I think of magazine editors I immediately picture impeccably dressed women like Anna Wintour, Carine Roitfeld, & Meredith Melling Burke. These women are always sporting the latest in chic designer clothes…their uniform is often a well tailored dress or skirt & blouse paired with a skinny belt at the natural waist, perfectly complemented with fabulous Christian Louboutins, Jimmy Choos, or the like.
With these women perfectly coiffed at all times it makes women like Kate Lanphear, the Senior Style Editor of US Elle, definitely stand out! And I adore her & her style for that exact reason. Her wardrobe is an amazing mix of masculine meets feminine with a bit of punk rock thrown in for good measure. Not to mention her platinum rocker cut looks beautifully disheveled amidst the long locks & perfect bobs of the other magazine editors. All in all Kate is my new style icon…see for yourself!
Not only is she totally stylish, but she is GREAT at her job. I think Elle just keeps getting better and better (as does Marie Claire with Nina Garcia now at the helm of fashion editor). Love spotting Kate on Sartorialist, NYC Run Fashion, etc.!
