Pieces from Lyn Devon’s Spring 2010 & Fall 2010 Collections
Lyn Devon’s Story: Lyn, a true New Yorker started her fashion journey at Parsons School of Design (my graduate school, yay!). From there she had the amazing opportunity to design women’s wear for Ralph Lauren. The Ralph Lauren influence is obvious in her garments with the American luxury feel, the well-tailored, classic, feminine details…ahhh sooo magnificent, I wanted everything! While at Ralph Lauren Lyn began designing custom made clothing out of her house for a private clientele. And the rest is history.
My favvvvoooorite piece from the Fall 2010 Collection..a paperweight leather dress that came in a variety of rich fall colors. Her Fall 2010 Collection is full of ‘Beatnick Ballet’ pieces that are meant to allow women a luxurious, sleek, layered look. I especially loved her snowcat print that pops amidst her color palette of rust, rich purple & moss green.
Lyn continues to create gorgeous pieces for her private clients out of her SOHO showroom in NYC, as well as sell them in such high-end shops, such as Plain Clothes. Her accolades are tremendous, especially for only starting her collection in 2005….From an Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation Award for women’s wear to recently being appointed as one of the thirty new Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) members (trust me a huge deal!).
Admire the vibrant neon green floral print dress from Lyn Devon’s Spring 2010 Collection featured in Harpers Bazaar. The Spring Collection exudes a crisp Roman Holiday vibe with bright prints & novelty pieces.
