NOLA.      Nouvelle Orleans.      N’awlins.

Polaroids taken by my friend, Kendall Chew. From top: French Quarter, Cafe du Monde and Jackson Square.

And so the parades begin!! It’s all about some ‘Who Dat Nation’!!!

My favorite… Charlie Brown!

Mmmmmm..Mardi Gras would not be complete without drinks at the newly remodeled & very Mad Men-esque, Roosevelt Hotel.  We each drank 2 delicious & decadently chocolate ‘Gold & Black Who Dat’ martinis…Notice the precious little fleur-de-lis chocolate token floating atop the martini.

Kendall & I both love some House of Blues…so how better to spend Valentines Day?! A Gospel Brunch with Have Mercy & Say Yeah!

Can I pleeeeeassse have this?!?  Thanks.

So traveling to New Orleans is NOT complete without a day of shopping on Magazine Street & the French Quarter!  Hope y’all enjoy my new purchases…I know I am!

Purchase 1: A vintage red ‘Valentine’s Day’ dress…notice the adorable little cupids, hearts & antique fans scattered about the dress.  Bought at Funky Monkey on Magazine Street.  Im wearing black Steven by Steve Madden lace up oxfords, my mom’s old Gucci watch, a vintage bracelet, a NYC jewelry designer ‘found object’ necklace with my red Valentine’s Day dress.

Loving my new Dior Serum de Rouge lipstick.…it is amazingly luxurious!

Notice my new Mardi Gras mask hanging on my vanity..I was immediately attracted to the peacock feathers!

Purchase #2 & 3: Jamaica ‘No Problem’ Vintage tee from Funky Monkey on Magazine Street.  Gold Vintage Lion ‘Door Knocker’ earrings from Branch Out Vintage & Sustainable Goods on Magazine Street.

I’m wearing my vintage tee & earrings with my new Theory high waisted black pants, my great-grandmother’s gold belt, Forever 21 peep toe booties, and vintage rings.

HOPE EVERYONE HAD A WONDERFUL MARDI GRAS!  ‘LAISSEZ LES BON TEMPS ROULEZ’ Y’ALL!
