AHHH Award Season has begun!!! The time of year when my friends & I can gather & openly judge other people’s clothes & not feel like total bitches, I love it. And I know y’all do the same thing…I mean who didn’t have some snide remark when Bjork wore her swan gown a few years ago?! But at the same time who doesn’t still ohhh & ahhh over the beauty of Marion Cotillard in her shimmering scale like dress?! The Golden Globes are actually my favorite awards show because they combine the best TV & movie actors & actresses, thus more dresses & suits to fawn over!
After very careful inspection during the E! Preshow, the awards show itself & an even closer look on style.com & wwd.com, I now have my Southern Femme Best Dressed List of the 2010 Golden Globes! Let me know y’all’s thoughts as well, always makes for entertaining discussions!
BEST DRESSED:
My first 2 best dressed females are sporting an important trend for both now & this spring…METALLICS! I personally adore anything & everything that sparkles & shimmers, especially when it’s on Anna Paquin who stars in my favorite show, True Blood!

Megan, I loved Anna Paquin too — until I saw her shoes! WRONG! They were black heavy platform gladiators — find a pic on the web (it’s there) and I’m sure you will agree.…very scary! And I loved Chloe Sevigne & Maggie Gyllenhaal! I wasn’t mad about that lace peeking out from Marion Cotillard’s Dior — looked like her slip was showing — and not in a good way. And I loved Meryl Streep — now that’s how a mature woman should dress!
And what about Tina Fey in Zac Posen for the worst dress list? What was she/he thinking?
OMG Paul I completely agree & yes yes yes Tina Fey will definitely be on my worst dressed list…I mean I can’t believe Zac Posen created such a heinous dress!
And wow Anna Paquins shoes were quite the bizarre choice, too bad b/c that dress is stunning!
And Meryl Streep looked so elegant & sophisticated, I was very impressed as well!
In addition to the names mentioned above I thought all of the Jennifer’s looked amazing. Jennifer Garner, Jen Anniston and especially Ginnifer Goodwin. I loved her colbalt cocktail dress, it even looked great while holding her umbrella!
I agree Caroline, Ginnifer Goodwin’s dress was a beautiful shade, I just didn’t love her new hair cut though. It doesnt do her cute face justice. But props to her for looking fabulous while holding an umbrella, not an easy task!
